「払い戻す、賠償する」reimburse
reimburseとは、誰かが（例えば、仕事の一環で）支払ったお金をその人に払い戻す、または、損害や損失に対して誰かにお金を払う、という意味です。
名詞形はreimbursementで、払い戻し、という意味です。
reimburseの使い方の例
- （管理者が出張前の社員に対して）
Of course, you’ll be reimbursed for any money you spend on accommodation, meals, or ground transportation.
もちろん、宿泊費や食費、交通費はすべて払い戻されるよ。 - With the company’s insurance policy, employees pay for doctor’s and dentist’s appointments out of pocket (= with their own money) first. We reimburse those expenses later, usually within six weeks.
