- (supervisor to employee taking his first business trip)
You can charge all of your travel expenses to your expense account.
- I just got a promotion, and they’ve given me an expense account!
- It’s one of those five-star Gion restaurants that caters to executives on expense accounts.
- When he submitted his expense account for the year, we were shocked. He had spent over $15,000 on business dinners and entertainment.
submit a report(報告書)や application(申請)、proposal(企画)などと言うと、検討してもらうためにそれらをだれかに渡す、という意味になります。
- We submitted our proposal two weeks ago, but we’re still waiting for approval.
- The deadline for submitting applications has already passed.
- All questions must be submitted in writing. We’re sorry, but we’re not able to take questions over the phone.
