第16回南アジア少年軟球野球大会、シンガポールで20チーム熱戦

　第16回南アジア少年軟球野球大会が10月12・13日、シンガポール・アメリカン・スクールで開催された。本大会には、開催国シンガポールをはじめ、タイ、マレーシア、インドネシア、フィリピンから20チームが出場し、途中雷による中断をはさみながらも、熱戦を繰り広げるとともに、国際親善を深めた。

　最年長のU12の部では、 BCSライオンズ（シンガポール）と バンコク・サンダース（タイ）とが決勝戦に進出し、接戦の末、2対1でライオンズがサヨナラ勝ちし､優勝の栄冠を手にした。また、U10の部では、SASイーグルス・レッド（シンガポール）、U8の部ではBCSヤングスターズ（シンガポール）がそれぞれ優勝した。
